Went out to Calaveras Lake this morning and early afternoon and caught a couple of nice fish and some small ones. Hannah took these pictures of the keepers I brought home. I caught the catfish early and caught the bass about an hour before I left. There are alot of fish in the lake, and I look forward to going back again soon. I think I will go back on a weekday so it will be less crowded. I hope to get out again before I have to go back to work. There are supposed to be a good redfish population in the lake, so I will ask some of the local how to go about catching them. I'm thinking though that it will require a boat. There are some rental boats there, I may try one on one of my next few trips.
I'm still using the 7" June Bug, for bass, I caught the catfish on live worms. I may just go for catfish next time, they seem to be easier to catch, and I would rather eat catfish anyway.
