Arkansas State Record, Unrestricted Tackle
Debbie and I had dinner at "Doc's" in Garland, where Uncle John's state record blue catfish hangs in perpetuity and forever. Notice the photo in the lower right corner, you can see Uncle John to the right.
Follow the link below, click on "Arkansas" to the right and scroll down for "J.D. Harman, Dermott Arkansas" state record listing.
Catfish on a Cane Pole
Here's a picture of Big Daddy that I found in Momaw's picture drawer, one of my favorites. I was going to put it in the previous post, but I thought this one would work better as a fishing post. The person with him is Laura M., no idea who that is. I don't remember Big Daddy that well, but I do remember he always seemed to have that big smile like the one he has here.

Ft Bend County Fishing Report
Some pictures from Brazos Bend State Park, Ft Bend County, TX. Me and Mike went fishing there today, caught four nice large mouth bass out of Creekfield Lake.
Here is a picture of Big Creek running into the Brazos River. There were some HUGE gar feeding on the surface, hope to go back soon and try to hook one.

Brazos Bend State Park
Caught some nice bass fishing from the bank out at Brazos Bend State Park today on my visit to Ft Bend County. Brazos Bend is a very beautiful park, featuring a wide variety of birds, fish, alligators and furry creatures. I caught and released about as many of these than I kept. They were biting very good this afternoon, I was pulling them in about every other cast. I think the cold front coming in got them riled up. I will go back tomorrow, but probably won't do as well in the colder weather and wind. I will make sure I take the camera with me and post some pictures of the park tomorrow night.
